ABOUT THE PROGRAM

A structured contemporary dance program for adults with or without previous experience. In our classes we explore contemporary dance, soft acrobatics and improvisation. Together we learn the fundamentals of floorwork, develop body awareness, and practice movement sequences. The class focuses on principles of release technique and floorwork, with an emphasis on safe practice and injury prevention. We will train how to move to and from the floor with ease and learn rolls, slides, jumps, twirls and twists. We will also work on spatial awareness and explore ways of connecting with others through movement.Classes are designed as a progressive 18-week training block, where we work consistently with the same group to develop technique, strength, coordination, and movement quality over time. This is a guided process, allowing for deeper learning, clearer progression, and a stronger sense of continuity in the body.
